Roads Blocked

Israeli soldiers block the road 240 near the Gaza's Bnei Atzmon settlement in Gush Katif, on the eve of the Israeli historical pullout of the Gaza Strip. Israeli and Palestinian security forces were gearing up to implement Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip, where up to 4,000 opponents have infiltrated doomed settlements in a bid to sabotage the process. After a midnight deadline for settlers to leave the territory voluntarily, Israeli troops are expected to stream into Gaza in the early hours of Monday after the official start of the government's historic disengagement plan.(AFP/Nicolas Asfouri)
